At the end of summer, 14-year-old KEVIN pierces his own lip as a last-ditch effort to win over a skater boy, who also happens to be his best friend. Kevin soon finds that his self-destructive plan may not be as infectious as he envisioned.

The project was shot in North Carolina with support from the Panavision New Filmmakers Program & Leone Family Film Fund. It is a nominee for the National Board of Review Student Grant and awarded Jury Selects and Audience Award at Columbia University.

It premiered at Outfest Fusion and screened at Micheaux Film Festival. A feature film of the same name is being developed and was a selection for the 2022 Outfest Screenwriting Lab.
